MEANING UNDER TRANSFORMATION

The
Archive

The Archive preserves meaning under transformation. Its contents are organized using two primitives.

01 / PRIMITIVE

Naei

Individual units of preserved meaning.

Observations, distinctions, questions, assumptions, patterns, and other artifacts that survived long enough to be recorded.

02 / PRIMITIVE

Nexi

Persistent centers of meaning formed through related naei.

Nexi are not collections. They are the reason multiple naei repeatedly appear connected.

MOVEMENT

Not a museum.

The Archive is not a museum.

It is a record of movement.

It preserves how meaning changes over time: what appeared, what survived, what weakened, what contradicted itself, and what later became structure.

Instead of treating knowledge as a final snapshot, the Archive keeps provenance beside state.

TIME

History beside state.

Meaning changes.

The history of those changes is preserved alongside the current state.
